What type of case is this interview designed for?
This interview is not designed to assist with all possible certificate of transfer cases. This interview is designed for cases where:
- There is not an existing administration of the estate and none is planned
- All of the estate's debts are paid or secured to be paid, or sufficient other assets are in hand to pay the estate's debts
- If there is a surviving spouse, the applicant for certificate of transfer is the surviving spouse and the surviving spouse is the parent of all of the decedent's children
- Either there is no will, or there is a will that leaves 100% of the estate to the surviving spouse
- It has been at least 6 months since the decedent passed
