Eligible offenses for BMV fee reduction

If you lose your driver's license, you may have to pay fees to the BMV to get it back. If you cannot afford those fees, you may be eligible for the BMV Driver’s License Reinstatement Fee Debt Reduction and Amnesty Program. But, you only qualify if you lost your license for an eligible offense.

To participate in the Ohio BMV's driver's license reinstatement fee reduction program, you must have lost your license due to an "eligible offense." If your offense involved alcohol, drugs or a deadly weapon you will not be eligible, even if your offense is on this list. The eligible offenses are:
