Franklin County Application to Remove Online Eviction Record

This interview will help you fill out an application to remove an online eviction record in Franklin County Municipal Court.

Step 1: Save your forms. Your forms will not be saved on this site. We recommend that you email them to yourself.

Step 3: Do not sign yet. Go to a notary before you sign your forms. Leave the “Affidavit ” section blank until you are in front of a notary. You can go to the Self Help Center for a notary.

Step 4: Make copies. You should make at least 3 copies of your forms.

Step 5: File your forms with the clerk. Go to the Franklin County Municipal Court at 375 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43215. Go to the 3rd Floor to the Civil Clerk to file your forms.

Step 6: Mail a copy to the other side. Mail a copy to the plaintiff / landlord’s attorney, if they have one. If they don't have an attorney, mail a copy to the plaintiff / landlord.

Step 7: Watch for notices from the court. After your file your application with the court, it will be assigned to a judge, who will review your paperwork. It’s possible you could have to go before a judge. Make sure to check your mail to look for notices from the court.
