Sex offenses that cannot be sealed
To qualify to have your criminal record sealed, you must meet certain rules about the number and types of convictions. Learn if your offense is a sex offense that is not eligible for record sealing in Ohio.
In order to determine whether you qualify to have your record sealed, you must determine whether you have a conviction for a sex offense that cannot be sealed. In Ohio, sex offenses that cannot be sealed include:
- Gross sexual imposition. (R.C. 2907.05)
- Illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented material or performance. (R.C. 2907.323)
- Importuning (if convicted on or after 10/10/2007). (R.C. 2907.07)
- Pandering obscenity involving a minor. (R.C. 2907.321)
- Pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. (R.C. 2907.322)
- Rape. (R.C. 2907.02)
- Sexual battery. (R.C. 2907.03)
- Sexual imposition. (R.C. 2907.06)
- Unlawful sexual conduct with minor. (R.C. 2907.04)
